Terms of Service
These Terms govern your access to and use of AuthorOps. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
Last updated: September 26, 20261. The service
AuthorOps is operated by Lyubomyr Yatsyk. It is a publishing-operations workspace for organizing books, files, versions, metadata, editions, launch stages, tasks, collaborators, ARC readers, reviews, promotions, notifications and related publishing work.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to enter into these Terms and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping sign-in credentials secure. You must promptly update information that becomes inaccurate.
You may create an account with email and password or use supported third-party sign-in. If you use Google or another third-party service, its terms also apply to your use of that provider.
3. Your content and files
You retain ownership of the books, manuscripts, covers, metadata, notes, contacts and other content you provide to AuthorOps. You give AuthorOps a limited permission to host, process, display, copy and transmit that content only as reasonably necessary to provide the features you choose to use.
When Google Drive is connected, your original files remain in your Google Drive except when you expressly choose a Drive action such as moving an item to Trash. You are responsible for maintaining any independent backups you consider necessary.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use AuthorOps to violate law or the rights of others, upload content you do not have the right to use, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with service security, distribute malware, abuse automated interfaces, or use the service in a way that materially harms AuthorOps or other users.
5. Publishing decisions
AuthorOps is an organizational and workflow tool. Readiness indicators, metadata warnings, checklists, reminders and other product guidance are informational and do not guarantee marketplace acceptance, legal compliance, sales, rankings, reviews or publishing outcomes. You remain responsible for reviewing marketplace rules and the information you submit to publishers, retailers and other services.
6. ARC readers, reviews and promotions
Features for ARC readers, reviews and promotions are intended to help you track legitimate publishing activity. You are responsible for complying with retailer, platform and applicable disclosure rules. AuthorOps does not promise or encourage positive reviews or other misleading activity.
7. Plans, subscriptions and billing
AuthorOps may offer a Free plan with a one-book limit and a paid Pro plan with expanded limits. Current prices are shown before checkout. Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the selected monthly or annual billing period until cancelled. Billing is processed by Paddle. You can manage eligible subscriptions and payment methods through the Paddle customer portal made available in AuthorOps.
Refunds are explained in our Refund Policy and Paddle’s buyer policy. If a payment is reversed, disputed or refunded, related service access and affiliate commission may be adjusted.
8. Affiliate program
Approved AuthorOps affiliates may receive a recurring commission on eligible payments from customers validly attributed through their referral link. The standard founding rate may be displayed as 35%, with a 90-day referral window and a commission hold before payout. Self-referrals, misleading claims, spam, fraudulent traffic, unauthorized brand bidding and attempts to manipulate attribution are prohibited. AuthorOps may suspend an affiliate, void affected commissions or withhold payout when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, refunds, disputes or program abuse.
Affiliate status and commission eligibility are determined from AuthorOps records and verified payment events. Payout methods and schedules may evolve as the program grows.
9. Third-party services
AuthorOps may integrate with services such as Google, Resend and Paddle. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their independent availability, policies or changes. A third-party integration may stop working if that provider changes or revokes access.
10. Experimental features
Some features may be labeled experimental, preview, beta or may be enabled only for selected users. Those features may change, be incomplete or be removed without notice. You should not rely on an experimental feature as the sole copy of critical information.
11. Availability and changes
We aim to keep AuthorOps reliable, but uninterrupted or error-free availability is not guaranteed. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features to improve the service, address security issues or respond to technical and legal requirements.
12. Account suspension and termination
You may stop using AuthorOps at any time and can delete your account through Settings where that option is available. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance or a material violation of these Terms.
13. Intellectual property
AuthorOps, including its software, interface, branding and original service content, is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of AuthorOps intellectual property to you.
14. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AuthorOps is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We disclaim warranties that are not expressly required by applicable law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AuthorOps and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, publishing opportunities, goodwill or data arising from use of or inability to use the service. Mandatory consumer or other rights that cannot legally be limited remain unaffected.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. If a change is material, we will update the date on this page and may provide additional notice. Continued use after revised Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law.
17. Governing requirements
These Terms are subject to applicable law and any mandatory rights that apply to you. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
